About Design Automotive Group (Back Country)
Design Automotive Group is a family operated business located in Lincolnshire, Illinois. The company has over thirty five years of experience engineering, manufacturing, and marketing automotive, light truck, and SUV accessories.
Back in 1970, Design Automotive Group was born in a modest 5,000 sq. ft. building in Villa Park, Illinois to manufacture automotive roof packages and distribute related components, tools, and accessories. Since the late '80s, the company has been developing truck and SUV accessory products under the Tekstyle and Back Country brand names. In addition to becoming an OEM supplier, Design continued its reputation for quality, innovation, and service. This fueled continued growth and necessitated the move in 1998 to their current 65,000 sq. ft. engineering and manufacturing facility in Lincolnshire, Illinois.
All Design Automotive Group products are designed with endurance in mind and built to withstand the toughest elements. Offering the best warranties in the industry, special attention has been given to ensure long product life. Back Country stainless steel tubular products (tube steps, bed rails, and sport bars) are polished to a mirror finish, which cannot flake or peel. The black powdercoat versions are protected by an exclusive triple stage E-coat process that provides unmatched rust protection. All mounting brackets utilize the same process.
The drive behind Design Automotive Group's talented team has netted them six vehicle design awards, two "Truck Accessory Specialist of the year" awards and seven US Patents.
