The Dakar Series debuted at the '03 SEMA show in Las Vegas. Winch Ready again leads the industry in replacement bolt-on concealed winch mount front-end protection systems that directly compliment the '02+ H2 Hummer. The Dakar eliminates the stock H2 approach angle hindering cantilevered winch mount, employing recovery points central to the factory frame attachments that reduce frame twisting stress encountered during normal recovery operations. The Dakar is the only concealed winch mount H2 front-end replacement to provide a "full metal jacket", a lift-weight bullet resistant steel plating option for the frail front of the stock H2. The Dakar is fully air bag compatible and engineered to comply with the OE frame's energy absorbing crumple zones. The Dakar is complimented by the Atlas series full-wrap tube guard systems. The same design used in the police car crushing Blocker Trucks featured in the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious.

The Dakar's high angle concealed winch mount is made possible by the compact Mile Marker winch used by the U.S. military H1 HUMVEE. The high angle faceting compliments the extreme IE approach angle, while concealing the winch. The compact high-speed winch delivers 12,000 pounds of unstoppable recovery power. Careful consideration by our designers and in cooperation with OE engineers ensure the Dakar compliments the style of the H2.

The Atlas series guards compliment the H2 style while using hard point frame mounts. The Atlas I guard wraps around the grill to protect with 2-1/2" diameter x .120" thick mandrel bent tube. The Atlas I attaches directly to the hard frame mounted Dakar for superior body protection. Mounted on concealed hinges, the Atlas guard pivots forward to clear the H2's hood clip. The Atlas I provides full frontal protection and mounts up to three PIAA 580 light mounts. For the ultimate protection, the Atlas II option provides full over-the-hood protection with 2" diameter x .120" thick mandrel bent tube welded directly to the Atlas I.

8. Strategic light mounts are recessed inside the Dakar's bullet-proof shell for protection. The lower inboard 510 Diachronic fog light mounts are positioned to provide a low beam path for maximum light disbursement, while the 1100X extreme white driving lights are above and outboard of the 510's to provide optimum forward beam protection. The combination of driving and fog lights strategically mounted provide optimum driving safety.
9. Atlas Guard light mounts. The Atlas guard mounts a pair of PIAA 580 Extreme White driving lights and a single 580 center mounted pencil beam light. Coupled with the Dakar's recessed lights, this lighting system provides the ultimate night and inclement weather driving safety.
