The van Aaken SmartBox™ C3.1 is a digital device that
alters the quantity of fuel injected into the 2003-2004 5.9L
Dodge Cummins through changes to the fuel pressure. This
engine is fitted as standard with a fuel pressure relief
valve designed to keep the pressure to a safe working level.
Our unit is carefully tuned to always work within this operating
range set by the manufacturer, avoiding strain on the pump
or other fuel components.
These changes combine to give amazing gains in power and
torque. Changes to the fueling are fully mapped across the
load and RPM range to give smooth, manageable power delivery
all the way from idle to full power. The built in Boost Fooler
function also allows the user to mechanically raise the boost
pressure without the worry of engine management faults.
