Ever since the invention of cars, there have been people trying to improve performance. Modifying the air intake system to increase airflow is one way to improve. A properly designed air intake increases the airflow to the engine so that it combusts fuel more effectively. Up until now, replacing the factory air box with an open element air filter system was your only alternative.
Though open element air filter systems are effective for increasing airflow they have a few large flaws. First of all, open element air filters tend to make noise, (this of course is not a drawback to those who subscribe to the louder is better school of driving). Second, air boxes are designed to protect your engine from debris. Open element filter systems expose your filter and your engine to dirt and moisture. Finally, an open element filter is subjected to heat from the engine, creating hot air robbing your engine from oxygen it needs for effective combustion, resulting in a possible power loss.

True Flow air intake systems are a unique departure from traditional air intake systems. The factory air box is left intact keeping the airflow cooler while protecting the filter from debris and moisture. The factory filter is replaced with one of our foam, high flow, lifetime filters. Next we eliminate the factory air tube, which can have restrictive mufflers or resonators and replace them with our high flow, powder coated mandrel tubes and reinforced silicone couplers to maximize velocity.
True Flow kits are easy to install and maintain. Each kit contains the necessary hardware required to install, (like our custom fiberglass reinforced silicone couplers and stainless steel worm clamps). No modifications are needed, and all factory breathers, sensors and hoses are left intact. |
