G Tech/Pro
Competition Performance Meter
Equipped with
three high precision accelerometers. Accelerometers are sensors
that measure changes in speed(acceleration). G-Tech/Pro Competition
measures 1/4 mile time, for example, by intergrating acceleration.
This process is called Intertial Navigation. If you start from zero
and you know how much your speed is changing(acceleration), then
you know what your speed is after a givin time period. We start
from zero and we track time and speed and that gives us distance
as well. For Horsepower measurements the user inputs the weight
of the vehicle.
New
Features
Intelligent Shift Lights:
Coventional
tachs have a set RPM shift point for all the gears. Yet, depending
on the gear, many cars deliver different horsepower at given RPM
due to RAM-air, Turbo spool-up time, etc. During a drag race, the
new Compition provides optimal shift points based on actual delivered
horsepower as you get close to redline. For everyday use you can
choose regular set-RPM shiftlights.
Cornering
Lights:
Just as you
are approaching your favorite corner you get this funny feeling
in your stomach. "Did I go in too hot this time?" Now
you don't have to worry anymore, the Competition will warn you with
blinking LEDs. The frequncy increases as you approach the cornering
limit of your car.
RPM
Sensing with no wiring:
We are particularly
proud of this new feature. With our new proprietary technology G-Tech/Pro
Competition measures your cars RPMs. Yes, we know it sounds strange,
but there is absolutely no wiring and no installation. It works
on any car, even diesels and MSD ignitions. Very cool stuff.
Reaction-time
measurement:
Another very
cool new feature. First, you dail in your roll-out, then G-Tech/Pro
Competition will show the count -down tree accompanied with LEDs
and all you have to do is start accelerating. Your reaction time
is measured from the lights to the time you crossed your roll-out
point, just like on the Drag Strip. This feature is great for practicing
or just having loads of fun. |
