Edge Accessory System (EAS)

For those diesel customers not interested in future expandability and optional future accessories, Edge offers a simple, inexpensive non-expandable EGT sensor that allows users to monitor critical exhaust gas temperatures to ensure added power is not creating excessive heat which in turn can cause engine damage.

EAS Starter Kit Cable:
The Edge Accessory System (EAS) was created with future expandability in mind. The architecture of the EAS allows users to connect multiple accessories, daisy-chain style, to the CS and CTS platform. The ability to daisy-chain multiple accessories using the EAS allows users to monitor and display dozens of parameters on a single device.

*EAS Starter Kits are only available to work with the CS and CTS product lines. In order to use the EAS accessories you must have an EAS Starter kit (part #98602). EAS Starter kits come with all Juice w/ Attitude CS and CTS products and the EAS Starter Kit w/ Expandable EGT (part #98603).

The EGT probe is a sensor that allows users to monitor critical Exhaust Gas Temperatures to ensure added power is not creating excessive heat which, in turn, can cause engine damage. With the EAS system a user can connect multiple EGT sensors to monitor temperatures in different locations and compare readings to be even more precise.

EAS Universal Turbo Timer (Excludes 2006-2011 Dodge Cummins):
A turbo timer is a device designed to keep an engine running for a pre-specified period of time or a until a specific temperature is reached in order to automatically execute the cool-down period required to prevent premature turbo wear and failure. This also allows the lubricating oil from the engine to circulate properly so the turbine won't burn the lubricating oil that would otherwise be trapped within the charger with the turbine rotating at high speed.

The EAS Universal Turbo Timer part #98604 is designed for all diesel engines besides the 2006-2011 Dodge Cummins. The 2006-2011 Dodge Cummins EAS Turbo timer part # is 98612. The 2006-2011 Dodge Cummins uses different connectors for installation.

*Turbo timers are only available to work with the CS and CTS product lines. In order to use the turbo timer you must have an EAS Starter kit (part #98602). EAS Starter kits come with all Juice w/ Attitude CS and CTS products and the EAS Starter Kit w/ Expandable EGT (part #98603).

EAS Universal Sensor Input (5 Volt):
The EAS Universal Sensor Input provides the ability to read any 0-5 volt signal and translate that signal a meaningful value for display on the Edge CS or CTS. This means you can add custom temperature, pressure, Air/Fuel and even Travel/Position gauges to your Edge CS and CTS! Using the Edge Accessory System provides the following benefits:

• Using the MyStyle software, sensors can be easily configured and renamed.

• Up to 8 Universal Sensor Input accessories may be installed in any order on the vehicle. Each Universal Sensor Input will support up to 2 sensors for a total of 16 additional sensors that can be added to your CS or CTS device.
NOTE: Sensors from manufacturers other than Edge can also be attached to a CS or CTS device through the EAS Universal Sensor Input

• Eliminates the necessity of routing multiple wires to the CS / CTS Monitor

The EAS Temperature Sensor is a -40°F to 300°F 1/8” NPT supplied with the connectors to plug directly into Edge’s Universal Sensor Input System. Using Edge’s Temperature Sensor you can monitor Transmission Temp., Differential/Axle Oil Temp., Oil Temp., Engine Coolant Temp., Air Intake Temp., Pre and Post Intercooler Temp., and many more. Use this in conjunction with the Universal Sensor Input and the CS or CTS monitor to allow you to view critical temperatures with the most state-of-the-art product on the market today.

The CS and CTS programmers offer the same great features and benefits users have come to expect from Edge Products along with a whole host of additional features Edge's engineers have been creating for the past year! The CS and CTS com packed in new-style ruggedized cases with a universal system for window mounting (included) or custom pod or pillar mounting (accessories available from Edge) for that "from the factory" look.

The CS and CTS programmers not only re-program the vehicle to improve power and performance but also double as gauge-display devices providing vital information about the performance of the newly tuned vehicle and can also act as scan tools for reading and clearing trouble codes.

The CS and CTS products connect directly into the vehicle's computer via the OBDII/diagnostic port and can read and display up to 8 parameters at a time from a list of dozens of engine parameters! CS and CTS displays can be easily changed and configured to allow each user to view the data most important to them. Safety features with user-defined audible alerts as well as performance test features such as 0-60 and quarter-mile times are included. Both systems include light sensitivity meters that automatically adjust screen brightness for improved viewing for day or night driving.

The CS model features a full-color, high-resolution 2.4 inch, button controlled screen. The CTS model is a full-color, high-resolution 4.3 inch touch screen that comes equipped with a video-in port allowing users to connect to Edge's state-of-the-art backup camera (sold separately including night vision and locking license plate mount!) or any compatible off-the-shelf backup camera or DVD player.

Both models are designed to work in conjunction with the all-new Edge Accessory System (EAS) which allows users to connect multiple future accessories to the product such as additional exhaust gas temperature (EGT) sensors with many more accessories to come in the future!
