Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What is the MAF.ia?
A. The MAF.ia. (not MAFia - it stands for MAF Interface Adapter) is
a device that works with the factory Ford MAF sensor to extend voltage
limits using multiple settings, for 400 to 825+ RWHP, supercharged
or high horsepower naturally aspirated Ford applications.
MAF.ia. is the less expensive, High Tech injection molded plastic,
alternative to the “BIG clumsy, like factory calibration” aftermarket MAF sensors, no clamps or ill fitting hoses, simply plug and play. DiabloSport MAF.ia. allows the end-user to maintain the OEM quality drivability of the factory MAF sensor output while realizing all the benefits of a recalibrated MAF sensor.
Q. What are some of the features of the MAF.ia.?
A. Key features of the MAF.ia. are:
- Extend the volt limits of factory MAF, no more pegging your MAF
- MAF.ia. increase’s factory MAF capability to 3000+ kg/hr
in 2002 and up Ford applications
- No need to cut your wiring harness MAF.ia. is fully plug and
play
- Works with both 4 and 6 wire MAF sensors
- 8 user selectable settings for different HP levels (Stock to
825+ Horsepower level)
- LED indicator of MAF voltage status (shows if the sensor is pegging)
- High-tech injection molded plastic case design
Q. Can I just plug in the MAF.ia. and go, or is there tuning that
needs to be done?
A. The MAF.ia. has an adjustable dial that you can choose the
level of HP that your vehicle produces (Mild to Wild), but it is recommended
that adjusting for the increased parameters be done via the Predator
or ChipMaster/Revolution tuning software.
Q. Does the MAF.ia. have lights in it? I don't see any?
A. The MAF.ia does indeed have LED's in it. They are located around the inside
switch and illuminate when the Mass Air Flow meter is pegging.
This eliminates the need for outside diagnostic tools to find out this is happening.
If it is dark enough under the hood or late at night, you should be able to see
this illumination even with the red DiabloHead cover installed. |
