Additional Notes:
Front lift is handled by heavy-duty leaf springs that utilize Urethane eye bushings. These are fairly heavy vehicles, and relatively old, so the factory rear springs are generally fatigued. Because of this, the most popular method of rear lift is using 1.5" blocks with 2" lift add-a-leafs (inserting one extra leaf plate per spring) to lift and strengthen the spring pack. Black Diamond's 4" lift replacement rear springs are recommended if the factory springs are in really bad shape. The system also include a complete U-bolt kit, with self-locking hardware, and front brake hose relocation brackets. The Black Diamond pitman arm, used to lessen steering linkage angle, is recommended. Other options include a steering stabilizer, longer D.O.T. approved brake hoses and AT Shock Absorbers.
Note that the lift height is based on factory ride height. If your stock springs have never been replaced or refurbished, they have undoubtedly settled quite a bit; expect up to 1" additional lift height. Also, take time to closely inspect all of your vehicle's suspension-to-frame attachment points, and its entire steering and brake systems for signs of wear and/or fatigue.
Why is my vehicle not listed on the application chart?
Bottom line, if they make a Suspension System for your vehicle, then chances are we
can get it. There are a lot of different applications for Suspension
Systems, unfortunately we don't have them all available to order on our website.
