Application Notes

Engine differences in 2004 Chevy 6.6L vehicles:

Early 2004 vehicles - LB7 engine (8th VIN digit = "1")
Late 2004 vehicles - LLY engine (8th VIN digit = "2")

Note: 2007 model Cummins Trucks: can be equipped with one of two engine types; the 5.9L or the 6.7L. Please verify the engine type before ordering.

Note: 2004 model Cummins Trucks: P/N's 5522, 55223 and 55224 do not fit 2004 high-output (325-hp rated) vehicles

*Note: The SmartLock fits: all 2003 models, but for 2004 it is only designed for work with vehicle's that have the PMC located on the passenger side firewall behind the battery. (Will not fit Cummins 325/600 engine.)

Note: For 98-02 Dodge Cummins 5.9L vehicles:

Delete Monster turnbine outlet pipe (part no. 53113) from oder when comining Banks Breake with PowerPack, Stinger-Plus, Stinger, Git-Kit or Monster Exhaust on same vehicle.
Banks Brake and Banks Power Elbow cannot be used on the same vehicle.

Cummins Engine Horsepower Rating is found on the engine identification tag, located on the side of the timing cover of the engine near the injection pump.

**Note: The Compressor Relocation Kit is needed when you already have a Banks Brake and you are adding the Banks Ram-Air System.
