#9117 - Tach Adapter
The 9117 Tach Adapter from Auto Meter allows vehicles without a standard tach signal wire to install a tachometer, shift light, or RPM signal switch (such as a rev limiter or N²O safety solenoid). Simply wire the 9117 to the positive 12V wire of your ignition coil, ground, and your tachometer. The Tach Adapter reads the current draw of your ignition system and provides a clean 12V square wave to your tachometer. Compatible with DIS, coil-on-plug, and most other 12V negative ground ignition systems. Not compatible with magneto type systems. Fully sealed case is impervious to moisture and vibration. Includes illustrated installation instructions, mounting hardware, and wiring connectors.
